Located at 1507 Grayland Ave RVA 23220 (next to the Randolph Community Center Basketball Courts + Pool).

In-person Market runs May - November / Tuesdays, 3:00 - 6:30 pm

Birdhouse Online Farmers Market - operates year-round. Shop 6am Thursday - 3am Monday for pick up on Tuesday.

Birdhouse Winter Market (December - April, no market between Christmas and New Year’s) is Online Only with Curbside Pickup on Tuesdays, 4pm-6pm. Order online and pickup at the Randolph Community Center using your car, bicycle, motorcycle, or feet as transport. We’ll aggregate your order and put it in your vehicle.

Birdhouse Community Garden Workdays (March-December) First Saturday of the month, 9-noon. Spend an hour or the whole morning playing in the dirt while learning how to grow, prepare and preserve your own food. Tools and equipment provided and there are always activities for children.

Programs and Services

SNAP EBT is accepted at Birdhouse with the Virginia Fresh Match Program doubling every SNAP dollar spent. SNAP and SNAP Match can be used at the market or online. More info available online or by emailing: birdhousefarmersmarket@gmail.com

Composting 24/7/365. In partnership with NOPE, Birdhouse hosts a community composting program. Bring your food scraps in a biodegradable bag or a reusable container. The bins are located next to the brick gazebo between the swimming pool and tennis courts next to the blue shed at Birdhouse Community Garden.

Gleaning the Market: Every week, our vendors generously provide the Second Baptist Church Food Pantry with bread, produce, eggs and other goodies for their Wednesday morning food pantry.

Music at the Market: We invite local musicians to play at Birdhouse. If you are interested in playing, contact the Market Manager at birdhousefarmersmarket@gmail.com

Kids Activities: A food focused scavenger hunt for children is available at the Welcome Tent. Other activities are scheduled throughout the season.

Community Space: Birdhouse has set aside a vendor space for community service non-profits to bring information and raise funds for their organization. Let us know if your organization would like to table at the market!

LFPA Grant: Local food pantries can purchase directly from our farmers and food producers for their pantry clients.

Birdhouse Community Garden: The garden area is open and accessible 24/7. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the space. The garden has signage identifying our many plants and benches where you can sit and relax.
